A series of tailored training courses for Serbian civil servants
In the framework of a service contract with the European Commission, the Development Office of the College of Europe is setting up a series of three-week tailored training courses for Serbian civil servants from central and local administrations.
The following topics are part of the tailor-made curriculum: EU structures and decision-making procedures; legislative harmonisation with the EU
acquis; policy-making and reforms in the process of the European integration; pre- and post-accession EU funds; negotiations on specific
acquis chapters. Three editions of the course will be organised in Bruges (21 March- 8 April; 9-27 May; 4-22 July), and 90 civil servants will be trained in total.
In addition to the training courses for the civil servants, the Development Office is also training all the “community multipliers” selected under this project. A total of 54 professionals from various backgrounds (civil society, NGOs, SMEs, education, media, etc.) will be trained in EU affairs, attending either the ‘
Intensive Seminar on the EU’, organised every summer since 1994, or a tailored three-week programme.
