14th Intensive Seminar on the EU - July 2007
Introduction
The International Forum on Diplomatic Training [IFDT] was established in 1972, as a yearly Meeting of Deans and Directors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations, at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna. The Forum is an informal gathering of Deans and Directors devoted to the discussion of issues of modern diplomacy and trends in diplomatic education.

This year’s edition will focus on “New Challenges to Diplomatic Training” and is jointly organised by the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and the College of Europe, which will host the event.

In the constructive spirit of the past years, we are looking forward to this opportunity to continue our exchange of ideas on recent trends in diplomacy and diplomatic training, and we very much hope that you will be able to participate.
