Carol Cosgrove-Sacks (UK) is a highly respected expert on multilateral and EU negotiations. She has worked for the European Commission and has run EU training courses at the Civil Service College. From 1994-2005 she was Director of Trade in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland. She is currently a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe Bruges, at the Europa Institute Basel, Switzerland, and at the Centre for Euro-Asian Studies at Reading University, UK.
Professor Cosgrove-Sacks was educated at the London School of Economics. Prior to joining the United Nations, she was an international business consultant. She is the author or editor of many publications, including Trade Facilitation - the Challenges for Growth and Development (2003 with Mario Apostolov), Europe, Diplomacy and Development (2001), and The EU and Developing Countries: Challenges of Globalization (1999).
